Evolving from the early success of Bay Chin Teck Co., Ltd. a pioneer in Burmese ruby trading and a contributor to the development of Siamese ruby and Australian sapphire markets. Premier Gems was established to serve the growing global demand for ruby and sapphire exports.

Heritage and Legacy Timeline

1905

Bay Chin Teck Co., Ltd. first opened its door as a small gold and silver jewelry shop in the heart of Bangkok’s Chinatown. Over the decades, it gradually developed an impeccable reputation in the local retail jewelry business.

1958

Bay Chin Teck Co., Ltd. became one of the pioneers in the trading of Burmese rubies.

1966

Bay Chin Teck Co., Ltd. started a joint venture with a local partner to develop the Siamese ruby and Australian sapphire market.

1982

Premier Gems Trading Co., Ltd. was specifically

set up to focus on the booming export market, concentrating on the export and wholesale of precious stones mainly rubies and sapphires.

1992

Received The Gems Cutting Award from Thailand’s Department of Export Promotion, acknowledging mastery in precision craftsmanship.

2003 - 2004

Honored with The Blue Sapphire Contest Award

and additional Gems Cutting Awards from the Jewel Fest Club, celebrating the company’s artistry and innovation.

2010

Participated in the Buy With Confidence (BWC) Program organized by The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand.

2013 - 2015

Awarded the Thailand Trust Mark (2013) and Thailand Tourism Standard for Gemstone Products (2014–2015), reflecting national recognition for quality and excellence in gemstone products.
